Veteran's Day Car Show and Rumble

Please note: this is NOT a public car show. This event is restricted to the members of the following car clubs only: AMSCH, Corvette Club of Hawai'i. Note: for AMSCH, it is for PAID members only (not the Facebook group).

Please join us on Sunday, 10 Nov 2024 to celebrate Veterans Day at the US Vets Center in Kalaeloa (Barbers Point). Setup / parking starts at 9:30, the show goes from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm (or whenever we pau). Please plan to stay the entire time. There will be a rumble with the Corvettes. There will be a few US Veteran speakers from each club to address the resident veterans at the Center to give words of encouragement.

Trophies: One Veterans Choice for each club (Best Ford, Best Chevy) plus one trophy for the Rumble Contest. Wash/wax your rides and if in the rumble, make sure they are tuned to roar!

The US Vets Center is a public/private partnership that provides transitional housing and services for homeless US Veterans. They provide temporary shelter as well as employment and substance abuse counseling to allow veterans to return to productive lives on their own.

Donate to the US Vets: could you make a donation to the US Vets Center? Please be as generous as you can to help our veterans. Quantity packages (i.e. case water, pack of socks or shirts, etc) cost less per unit and will be distributed to the vets by the Center.

Here is a list of suggested items. You may donate whatever you wish. You are NOT required to donate anything to be part of the show/rumble - we know times are hard:

⦁ paper products (paper towels, Kleenex, toilet paper, paper plates, writing paper, blank journals, pens, pencils, erasers)

⦁ Outdoor games (tennis rackets, footballs, Frisbees, softball stuff, etc)

⦁ Toiletries (deodorant, disposable razors, combs, toothbrush/toothpaste, bar soap, etc). NO MOUTHWASH OF ANY KIND, ALCOHOL-BASED OR NOT.

⦁ Games (puzzles, cards, checkers, chess, etc)

⦁ Books and magazines

⦁ Clothes (new or used). New socks, undershirts and underwear are welcome.

⦁ old eye glasses for reading

Yourself: it gets hot in Barbers Point. Bring a chair, non-alcoholic drinks in a cooler, sunscreen, hat, medications, etc. Charge your phone and camera for photos!

Food: Bring Your Own Bento.
